Privacy

This app sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It does not ask for any personal data. It counts visits with Plausible, a privacy-friendly statistics service without cookies.

Hosting

The app and its world data (maps and height data) are served by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which processes data on my behalf. To deliver the pages, Cloudflare's servers receive your IP address, your browser's user agent, the requested address and the time of the request, and keep them in short-lived server logs to run the service and protect it against abuse.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is delivering the app safely.

Transfer to the USA: Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so the USA counts as a safe country for this transfer (Art. 45 GDPR). If the certification ends, Cloudflare relies on the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

Visitor statistics

Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia, counts page views on my behalf, so I can see how many people use the app and which parts they open. Plausible sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and builds no profiles. Its data is processed and stored in the EU.

Plausible receives the address of the page, the referring page, your browser, operating system, device type and country. Your IP address is never stored: it only feeds a visitor count that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is measuring the use of the app with as little data as possible. Only totals are kept, which cannot be linked to a person.

Fonts

The fonts are served from this app. Your browser does not contact a font service.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Write to the email address above. You can also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at).
